The Jim Mayer Riverwalk is a short, hard-packed dirt and crushed stone rail-trail in Johnstown with a lovely view of the Stonycreek River. Easily accessed at both endpoints, this gentle trail makes a great exercise route. Numerous birdhouses installed along the route attract a variety of birds. The trail is named after the late James Mayer, a lawyer who devoted much of his time to preserving environmental resources in the Johnstown area
