Bog Trail

The Bog Trail is located in Black Moshannon State Park, Centre County, located along route 504 in Centre County nine miles east of Philipsburg. The trail head is located on West Side Road (south along the western shore) just beyond the Boat Area 3 parking lot. Take the boardwalk to explore a wetland dominated by sphagnum moss and leatherleaf, and accented by sedges, rushes, carnivorous plants and lilies. Observe waterfowl and other wildlife along the trail. The trail has numerous waysides interpreting the wetland community. Points of Interest: Great interpretive panels & abundant wildlife. Trail Tips: Great for kids. Take binoculars. Restroom facilities provided at the beach house and park office.
