The trailhead is at the state forest office located eight miles east of Coudersport and 13 miles west of Galeton. Visit a skier’s secret, the vista loop is a section of the roughly 20-mile network of cross-country ski trails that start at the Susquehannock State Forest Office. While the trailhead is located south of Route 6, the Vista loop is on the north side of route 6. Completing the loop will require passing through deer ex-closures where different studies are underway. Please close the gates behind you. Ask about these at the office. Points of Interest: Forests of northern hardwoods at different ages of maturity (black cherry, maple, and more) and a vista of the Denton Hill State Park area. This is a quick hike to take if you’re traveling Route 6. Watch for signs and turns. The trail is very wide for most of its distance. Pick up plenty of information in the office. Trailhead also serves as the northern gateway to the 85-mile Susquehannock Trail System backpacking trail.
