The Joseph M. McDade Recreational Trail is a planned trail which, when completed, will extend for 37 miles on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The trail is open to hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. Motorized vehicles are not permitted. Two sections were completed, as of spring 2008: a section along River Road from Hialeah Picnic Area to Turn Farm Trailhead ( 5 miles) and from Milford Beach to Pittman Orchard at Rte. 209 (2.7 miles).
