The Scouts Trail is a 5.0 mile, moderate to difficult loop (blaze colored red). The Trailhead is located on the right side of Woodchuck Drive across from Baneberry Grove. The entire Harrison Hills Park is encircled by this trail. Sights include woodlands, conifer stands, a large south pond, community soccer fields, a stream crossing just above Rachel Carson Falls, spectacular views of Allegheny River 400 feet below the park, Watts memorial observation deck with views of Armstrong, Butler and Westmoreland Counties, secluded small north pond, champion hardwoods, meadows, wetlands and a Boy Scout’s campfire circle.
