Trail Description

The Jacoby Falls Trail offers great outdoor fun in all seasons. This out and back trail to one of Pennsylvania’s prettiest waterfalls begins by crossing the boardwalk over a wetland and into a shady hemlock and mixed hardwood forest. From there, the trail bends into Jacoby Hollow and follows a natural gas pipeline and Jacoby Run, a picturesque freestone creek. At the top of the hollow, Jacoby Falls is your reward! Jacoby Falls is spectacular in winter too, though it is sometimes reduced to a trickle by drought conditions. Watch for abundant wildflowers along the trail. The Jacoby Falls Trailhead is located along Wallis Run Road approximately 4.1 miles north of the Route 973 bridge at Loyalsockville. Park at the DCNR Cotner Farm. Information sign is on the right.
