The Beaver Meadow Trail stretches for about 1.5 miles from near the DuBois Mall to Liberty Blvd in Dubois, PA. The Beaver Meadow Trail travels through the historic “Big Beaver Meadow” and Sandy Lick Creek Recreational Area in the City of Du Bois. The Big Beaver Meadow was an important corridor for the Cornplanter (or Seneca) tribe of Native Americans traveling from the West Branch Susquehanna River to the Clarion and Allegheny Rivers. Today, the City of Du Bois maintains the trail. This portion consists of protected wetland. The length of the Beaver Meadow is divided by Sandy Lick Creek.
