Trail Description

The North Branch of the Susquehanna River flows from New York through Pennsylvania to Sunbury where it joins the West Branch and forms the river's main stem - the largest tributary of the Chesapeake Bay. The North Branch Susquehanna River Water Trail, under development, will be completed in three sections, an upper segment in the Endless Mountains Region, a middle section in the Wyoming Valley and a lower segment that eventually joins the two Branches. Many public access points are managed by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) and are open during daylight hours. The PFBC access points require boats to be permitted.
